Do I have to purchase Yatra Trip Guarantee ?
This is a special offer by Yatra to all its regular customers purchasing tickets on
Indian Airlines, Jet Airways and Kingfisher Airlines at no additional cost.
Who is eligible for Yatra Trip Guarantee?
Any Indian domestic passenger booking their ticket through yatra.com and
purchasing air ticket on Indian Airlines, Jet Airways and Kingfisher Airlines and traveling within India is eligible for Yatra Trip Guarantee . Foreigner passengers holding passports of any other country other than India can purchase Yatra Trip Guarantee – Specially designed for Yatra Passengers if they have a work permit in India and are traveling within India.
Is there an age limit to be covered under Yatra Trip Guarantee ?
Yes, the passenger must be at least 2 years on the date of travel. The Maximum age is 70 years of age as on date of travel.
Am I still covered by Yatra Trip Guarantee if I catch a connecting flight to a different destination?
Advantages like trip cancellation, flight delay is only limited to
flights booked through Yatra.com (on Indian Airlines, Jet & Kingfisher).
For example if you are traveling From Delhi to Chennai on 1st Jan 07 via Mumbai. You take Delhi to Mumbai flight on (IC,9W & IT) booked on Yatra and from Mumbai to Chennai you take another mode of transport other then Yatra, you would not be entitled for benefit other than trip cancellation and flight delay which would only be restricted on Yatra flight.
Who would be the beneficiary under this policy?
All Advantages will be payable to the person who is traveling.

Once I purchase the ticket which entitles Yatra Trip Guarantee and later can I change the date of my travel and still avail the benefits?
Yatra Trip Guarantee cannot be changed once if you are postponing or extending your trip. It will be valid for original flights only.
What do I have to carry with me when I am traveling?
Your e-ticket will carry the Yatra Trip Guarantee policy details and we encourage you to carry a copy of your e-ticket. Please however ensure that you have atleast your Yatra Advanatge Number details and the assistance service as mentioned above.

Brief description of the benefits:
- Trip Cancellation/Interruption Benefits: effective from the day after the Certificate is issued until departure time, covers up to Rs.10,000/- due to covered reasons such as illness, injury or death of the passenger, the co passengers or their immediate family. This benefit is limited to Yatra.com flight bookings only.
- Checked Baggage Loss: covers the loss of your luggage and personal effects of up to amount outlined in above table in custody of the common carrier
- Baggage Delay: Provides for reimbursement of expenses incurred on account of checked in baggage delay by the airlines
- Flight delay: Fixed at Rs.500/- for every block of 4 hours – this will be paid irrespective of whether the passengers have incurred any expenses on account of the trip delay
- All benefits are subject to the terms and conditions of the Yatra Trip Guarantee – Specially designed for the passengers of Yatra.
Can I cancel my trip for any reason and get all my money back through my Trip Cancellation
Benefit?
The Trip Cancellation Benefit is only applicable for reasons covered in the full policy wordings. Covered reasons include, but are not limited to, unforeseen emergencies such as illness, injury or death involving you, your travel companion and/or an immediate family member. Pre-existing Conditions are not covered.
What Does my Baggage loss Benefit cover?
The Baggage loss coverage is available only if entire baggage has been lost while in custody of the common carrier.
What process do I follow to avail the Yatra Trip Guarantee in case of Flight delays, checked in baggage loss, baggage delay and trip cancellation?
In the event of an insurance claim, you can download a copy of our Notice of Claim Form which is available here. After completing, the same please fax or post it to the contact information indicated in the document.
How long will it take to process the Yatra Trip Guarantee ?
The Yatra Trip Guarantee will be processed within 14 days after you've submitted all required documentation.
What is the time limit for claiming the Yatra Trip Guarantee after the incident?
All claims must be submitted to YATRA within 30 days from the expiry of the Yatra Trip Guarantee.
